Electronic music is music that makes use of Electronic musical instruments and electronic music technology. In the early days of electronic music, anything made using electronic processing was thought to be of the genre. But these days things have changed, now that almost everything is processed electronically or digitally, we now refer to electronic music as a genre that predominantly uses electronic instruments. Also note that there is a different between sounds made electromechanically and ones made by the use of electronic components.
